Sunday Morning Adult Programs
Love to listen? Love to learn? Love to talk? Adult classes and discussions programs are offered each Sunday morning, following 10:15 A.M. worship, at 11:30 A.M. in the Church Parlor. Recent classes have included the ever-popular “Religion in the News,” , “Mary Magdalen,” and “Who We Are, What We Believe.”
'The Gathering': Bible Study
Whether you’re still not sure where exactly to find the book of Genesis, or are so steeped in Bible that you catch the pastors when they goof, either way, our 'Gatherings' are for you! Over the course of the ‘school year,’ we offer several different series, from topical studies (‘War and Peace’ scriptures) to in-depth looks at a particular book of the Bible. Our discussions are led by one of the Pastors, and we offer three gatherings each week, to fit into your busy schedule:
Thursdays, 10:00 A.M. and 7:30 P.M. at the Parsonage (3192 Bronson Road)
(We also offer a study on first and third Thursdays in the Chapel at 3030 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, 3:30 P.M.)
E-mail Bible Study
Our popular "E-mail Bible Study” is sent out each week to hundreds of church friends! This single-page study guide shares thoughts about each week’s scriptures from the pastors and from the Bible Study gatherings each week – providing an easy way to be a part of scripture study together. The pastors always welcome comments and questions in return, and love to ‘dialogue’ via email. To receive email Bible Study, send us an email or call (203) 259-5596.
Speakers
Speakers and special programs are always a highlight of our church adult programs – from parenting expert Dan Kindlon; to the New York Times’ columnist on Ethics, Randy Cohen; to actress Olivia Woodford in her one-woman play, ‘The Heart of the Cross.’
Music Programs
Music is an integral part of our church. Under the inspiring leadership of Sandra Murphy, our Chancel Choir and Men’s Chorus offer a place for fun, fellowship and song. New members of the choir are always welcome, and a commitment to the full year isn’t necessary. For more info, email music director Sandra Murphy or call

Book Group
Our Book Group meets monthly, usually on 4th Mondays, to discuss current novels of interest. New participants are always welcome! E-mail Donna Fox for more information.
Events:
From our Fall party at Penfield Beach to our annual ‘Deacons’ Picnic’ … from our Advent Dinner to our Progressive Dinner in midwinter, we offer a variety of chances for church members to get together for fellowship and fun! Check the Calendar for more information.
The Women's Fellowship Guild
All women of the church are invited to be a part of our Women's Fellowship Guild!
In addition to frequent gatherings for fun and fellowship, our Guild is involved in outreach, scholarships, and major contributions to the community, both locally and globally, through funds raised by our annual Dogwood Festival held on Mother’s Day weekend in May of each year.
The Guild’s focus is on the needs of women and children. Our programs and charitable contributions reflect the many interests of our membership. The mission of our Guild is to unite in fellowship, to help one another in the Christian life, and to support the work and service of the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church. We work to nurture ourselves and one another. We also keep the church beautiful during the holidays with the hanging of the church Christmas greens, and the presentation of Easter lilies.
Please join us! For more information on upcoming Women's activities, just send an email to the church office.
Women's Fellowship Group Outreach includes:
Volunteering . . . in local projects, such as Meals on Wheels, Janus House and Project Learn.
Scholarships . . . over $100,000.00 given since 1982 to Women Divinity Students
