Greenfield Hill Church is a wonderful paradox!
Old and historic… active and lively.
We have been around since 1725, but our desire is to be vibrant and effective right now. We are a thousand member church with the feel of a small town. Our people come from many religious backgrounds, finding at Greenfield Hill the respect and encouragement to grow in faith. We are very active in mission, seeking always to serve God by serving other, from our own backyard to halfway 'round the world. We have a great Sunday School, almost legendary youth work, a lot of volunteers, and a "can-do" spirit.
Committed to Christ-likeness in word and deed, respectful of tradition, creative, generous, involved — this is Greenfield Hill Congregational Church today.

What is a "Congregational Church"?
Congregationalism means just what it says: the congregation is in charge! No hierarchy, dogma or tradition control the people. Instead, we firmly believe in the individual: the individual believer and the local church.
As Congregationalists of the 21st century, we are the inheritors of the Pilgrims' devotion to freedom without the Puritans' emphasis on exclusion. We are a member church of the United Church of Christ (click on UCC logo to learn more)
