Rev. Dr. Alida Ward

Alida grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, and graduated from Bryn Mawr College.  Her seminary training was at Yale Divinity School, followed by a Doctorate in Ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary. Alida currently serves on the Human Services Commission for the Town of Fairfield, as well as on the board of Operation Hope, on Fairfield Cares (Fairfield’s Prevention Council), and the Fairfield advisory committee for the Center for Women and Families. As a married couple, David and Alida love travel, great movies, good books, cheering on all our church kids at games and concerts — and of course preaching!

We celebrated Alida’s 25th anniversary here at GHCC a while back (2014). You may enjoy taking a peek at this photo/video tribute to her, created by our Bill Brennan for the celebration! Click here to check it out!
