Our Adult Education Board offers any number of ways for us to come together in learning, from Bible studies to ‘movie night’ conversations.
Book Chat – We have a delightful time at our monthly Greenfield Hill Church Book Chats. Each month, a selected book is announced – novels, non-fiction, anything that serves to inspire or provoke thought. One Tuesday evening (note the change of days), any who have read the book (or not!) are invited to come together to ‘chat’ about it. Check the ‘News and Events’ page to find out when our next Chat is!
‘Religion in the News’ – a weekly discussion held after 10:30 worship on most Sundays, taking a look at today’s events from a faith perspective. , in the Church Parlor after the 10:30 worship service.
‘The Gathering’ – our weekly discussion-based Bible Study, meets Thursday at 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Church House Library during the school year. We’ll be reconvening our Gathering on Thursday, September 17th and we look forward to seeing our familiar Bible Study faces AND some new faces joining us as well.
E-mail Bible Study – our popular “E-mail Bible Study” program is sent each week to those on our distribution list. A single page study guide, it offers thoughts from the pastors and invites response and conversation. If you’d like to receive the email bible study, please send an email to the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org
Movie Nights – Several times a year, our Adult Education Board gets us together for an evening of movie-watching, popcorn and conversation … recent picks have included ‘The Way’ with Martin Sheen, and the inspiring documentary ‘Bonhoeffer.’
